Charlotte M. Phelps, age 39 of Otisville, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel with burial to follow in Lovejoy Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
Charlotte was born October 24, 1974 in Owosso, the daughter of Lovern and Nancy (Roupe) Phelps. She attended Durand Area High School, graduating in 1992 and then went on to Ferris State University where she earned her Associate's degree in 1995. Charlotte was hired on by Hurley Medical Center as a Respiratory Therapist and had been for the past 20 years.
In her free time, Charlotte enjoyed playing disc golf and hanging out with family and friends. She had a passion for animals, especially her boxers.
Charlotte is survived by her father, Lovern Phelps, Sr. of Lennon; 3 brothers: Lovern (Stephanie) Phelps, Jr. of Flint, Christopher (Erika) Phelps of Davison, Anthony (Crystal Prieur) Phelps of Davison; fiancé, David Ingersoll of Otisville; 2 step-children: Brooke and Bryce Watts; god son, Lovern Phelps, III and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and her extended Hurley family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy and her uncle, Lynn.
