ROGERS, Michael L. “Mike” – Of Grand Blanc, age 70, died Wednesday, October 16, 2019 in Traverse City.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home 1225 West Hill Road, Father Thomas Firestone officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Flint Food Bank or The Crim Fitness Foundation.
Visitation 1-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Michael was born in Flint, Michigan on December 22, 1948, the son of the late William and Doreen (Coughran) Rogers.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Grand Blanc American Legion, Clio Eagles, Shusshmeister Ski Club and attended St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
Mike was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman, runner and he loved NASCAR.
Mr. Rogers retired from Buick with over 30 years of service.
Surviving are wife of 28 years, Ann;
children, Kandi (Tom) McAnnally,
Michael (Diana) and Ashley (Liz) Jaksa;
son-in-law, John Lloyd;
5 grandchildren, John Lloyd, Kelsey (Jake) Smith, Rashae Martinez, Justin and Madison Rogers;
great-grandson, Brady Martinez;
brothers, Craig (Bernie), Rick (Kathy), John (Brenda) and Tom;
sisters, Elaine (Mel) Porter, Christine Linseman and Sue LeBeau;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by nephew, John Paul.
