Donna Wellman (Lehmann) was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. She passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 15th at 77 years of age.
She was born on August 18, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan. In high school, she worked at Diebel’s drug store. Her professional career flourished as she worked at Michigan Bell, co-owned Wellman Builders Inc. with her husband, and co-owned Wellman Realty and REMAX Heritage with her son, Paul, where she retired in 2005. She was passionate about celebrating family and friends, whether that be through baking or throwing the truly memorable parties. She always knew just what to do to make everyone feel special. Her smile was infatuating, and her big heart radiated joy to all. Her compassion and charisma was felt throughout her loved ones. She was a member of St. Christopher’s Church in Bridgeport, and most recently, St. John Vianney in Saginaw.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck, two sons Brian Wellman and Paul (Cathy) Wellman, and five grandchildren, Tyler, Grace, Sierra, Margaux, and Lauren, all of Saginaw. Donna was predeceased by her father, Otto Lehmann, mother, Amelia Lehmann, sister, Louella Dorey and daughter-in-law, Linda Wellman.
Honoring Donna’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 19, 2018 at St. Francis DeSales Parish, St. Christopher Catholic Church, 3945 Williamson Rd. Saginaw. Rev Fr. John S. Mancini, OSFS and Rev. Fr. William Rutkowski will officiate. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association. |
