FALTIN, Jimmy Dale – Of Swartz Creek, age 64, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.
Visitation 10am Friday until the time of the service at the church.
A Memorial Service will be held 11am Friday, September 20, 2013 at Bethany Baptist Church, 2350 East Hemphill, Burton, MI , Minister Brad Richardson officiating.
Per Jimmy’s wishes cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the YWCA Safehouse, 310 E. Third Street, Flint, MI 48502.
Jimmy was born in Lynchburg, Missouri on October 1, 1948, the son of the late James and Irene Faltin. Jimmy married Kathy Acken on November 19, 1966 in Flint, MI. Jimmy graduated from Ainsworth High School, Class of 1966. He was a member of the Pine Creek Baptist Church in Lynchburg, MO. and the Amateur Trap Shooting Association. Jimmy enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, fishing, joke telling and helping others. He retired from the Genesee County Road Commission after 25 years of service and was a member of S.E.I.U.
Surviving are wife, Kathy;
children, Kim and husband Gary Wright of Swartz Creek and Johnny Faltin of Flint;
grandchildren, Aaron and Kayla Wright and Emily Faltin;
sisters, Carolyn and husband Michael Eatmon of Fenton, Cathy and husband Dale Root of Farwell and Dawn Faltin of Farwell;
mother-in-law, Diana Acken of Flint;
father-in-law, William and wife Shirley Acken of Flint;
sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many special friends.
