Mr. James Lee Jersey Jr of Millington, Michigan passed away peaceful at home late Tuesday evening June 26, 2018, at the age of 66.
James was born in Flint, Michigan on September 21, 1951, and was the son of James Lee and the late Betty (Bodfield) Jersey. On June 25, 1988 James married Nancy Sternal, and they have celebrated 30 years of marriage. James was employed with Delphi-General Motors Division, as a job setter, and retired after 30.5 years. James was a member of UAW Local 651, he loved hunting, fishing, softball, he collected antique pottery, loved playing cards, gardening, and spending time with his pets. James will be greatly missed. But all who knew him will remember his kindness, his wisdom, and his caring for others.
James leaves to cherish his memory: wife Nancy; children, Keely Hartley (Paul Loiselle), Jimmy Jersey (Keri Foresyth), Tina (Brian) Gerald, Kyle Gosciniak, Kara (Mike) Johnsen. Grandchildren; Justin (Ashley Smith),Cody, Aubrey, Ashlyn, Willow, Zoey Madison, Drake, Declan, and Jack. A great grandchild; Ares James Jersey. He leaves also his brother Glenn Jersey and sister Dawn Borowiak, as well as other extended family and friends, and his pets Charlie and Kit Kat.
The family wishes to extend their deep appreciation to Kindred Hospice for their care and support. And to the Hanlin Funeral Home for their support and guidance through this time.
The family has honored James wishes and cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of James life on Saturday, July 28, 2018 beginning at 3:00pm. This celebration will be held at the Forest Township Hall 130 E. Main St., Otisville, MI 48463. Thank you all for your kind thoughts, prays and sympathies.
