Rosemary Veronica Gengler
Age 90 of Chesaning passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Union Court Assisted Living in Chesaning.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Bill Gruden officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church that morning from 9:30am until the service.
Rosemary was born on August 5, 1928 to Bernard and Helena (Deitering) Sutter in Flint. She married Thomas J. Gengler on September 28, 1946 at Our Lady Catholic Church. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2009.
Rosemary spent her life as a loving homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and gardening. She also loved antiquing and collecting baseball cards.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Bernard Gengler, Dennis (Deborah) Gengler, Elaine Gengler, Suzanne Cramer, Lynette (Calvin) Shackelford, Cindy (Brent) Crownover, Penny (Robert) Chant, and Joy (Robert) Kukulis; and her 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband, Thomas; her granddaughter, Tammy Chrysler; 1 brother, and 2 sisters.
