TOTTEN, Kathleen A. – of Birch Run, age 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Covenant Glen of Frankenmuth. Private graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Saginaw. Funeral Mass will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Ss. Francis and Clare Parish in Birch Run.
Kay was born on February 22, 1930 in Flint, Michigan to Elmer and Flora (Owens) Morse. She married Thomas M. Totten on September 13, 1952. They enjoyed 66 years together. Tom preceded her in death on September 17, 2018. Kay was a homemaker and worked beside her husband in the family business for over 40 years. She was a member of Ss. Francs and Clare Parish in Birch Run where she was involved in many church organizations. Kay’s most treasured times were spent with her family, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children: James (Beverly) Totten of Birch Run, Karen (Michael Burns) Totten of Ann Arbor, Julie Bauer of Midland, Richard (Donna) Totten of Thurmont, Maryland, Andrew (Kristie) Totten of Birch Run; Grandchilden: Brady (Tara) Totten, Jamie (Chris) Darrow, Sarah (Patrick) Baker, Thomas (Jenna) Bauer, Alexander (Linnea Peterson-Bunker) Burns, Noah Burns (Cora Allen), Kathleen Totten, Nathanial (Elliot) Green, Sarah Totten, and Emma Totten; Great grandchildren: Emerson, Easton, Christopher, Caroline, Catherine, Graham, June, Grant, and another great granddaughter due in September; Sisters in law: Patricia Stainforth, and Ricki Morse; Many nieces and nephews. Kay was also preceded in death by: Son, Thomas Mora Totten Jr.; Siblings: Maxine (Bill), Evelyn, Dwain, Donna (Charlie), and Joyce; Brother in law, Charles Stainforth.
