GERARD, Twyla – Of Grand Blanc, age 74, died Monday, January 23, 2012 at University Hospitals in Ann Arbor. Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Monica Villarreal officiating. Burial in Elim Lutheran Cemetery in Scandia, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Salem Lutheran Church in Flint, MI.
Visitation 12-3 and 5 p.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Gerard was born on June 15, 1937 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Alice (Isaacson) Abrahamson. She was united in marriage with Eugene “Bud” Gerard in 1959 and he preceded her in death in 2006. Surviving are two children, Dr. Dale and wife Sally Gerard of Bloomfield Hills, Bonnie and husband William Jeffrey of Troy; five granddaughters, Jennifer Anne, Andrea Nicole "Buddy", Christine Alice, Kathryn Charlene and Heather Anne; cousins, Ruth Lindberg, Ruth Nicholson, Merlyn Cummings, Bonnie Abrahamson and Lowell Isaacson; many nieces and nephews.
