Glasstetter, Danny Joe – Of Flint, age 67, died peacefully Monday, March 3, 2025 at The Ridge at Goodrich with his family by his side.
A private family service will be held, and a Celebration of Life will take place on a later date.
Danny was born in Flint, Michigan on January 25, 1958 to the late Arthur and Elsie (Burton) Glasstetter.
He graduated from Bendle High School in 1977 and began his 32-year career with General Motors as a truck driver, retiring in 2008.
You could usually find Danny spending his time outside, mowing his lawn or working on some project. There wasn’t a thing duct tape couldn’t fix. He loved to have his family and friends over for cookouts, grilling barbecue chicken was his favorite. He was never without a glass of ice and a can of Diet Coke.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and was a devoted Lions fan.
Danny was the most giving person. He would give you the shirt off his back and the shoes off his feet. If anyone ever needed anything, he was always willing to help however he could. He didn’t care about money because he always said he couldn’t take it with him, so he spoiled everyone. Anyone he met became an instant friend. He was a wonderful brother and loving dad. His greatest joy was his grandbabies.
He is survived by his sons, Chad (Megan) Glasstetter and Cameron (Farah) Glasstetter;
grandchildren, Gavin, Payton, Harper, Elias and Kingsley; brothers, Glen Glasstetter and Lenny (Mabel) Glasstetter; sisters, Sue (Jerry) Smith and Patty (Ken) Greer; many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Diane Glasstetter.
