Evelyn Ruth Clarkson, age 96, of Flushing, Michigan passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. Evelyn was born on April 7,1928, in Flint, Michigan to the late George and Mildred (Skinner) Brewster. Evelyn attended Flint Schools and she graduated from Flint Central High School in 1946. Following graduation Evelyn married Elmer Clarkson on September 17,1949 at the First Presbyterian Church in Flint, where she is a lifetime member. Evelyn enjoyed gardening and flowers, she also loved spending retirement years in Florida with many good friends and relatives. She leaves to cherish her memory five God-children; Jamie O'Malley of Lennon, Julie ( Robert) Salem of Gladwin, James( Diane) Meehle of Fowlerville, Danielle ( Steve) Wakham of Lewisburg Tn, and Jodie and Chris Wakham of Lewisburg Tn. Also survived by sister-in-law Marjorie Larsen and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and husband Elmer in 2012.
