FRASER, Robert Bruce ("Bob") - Age 81, of Grand Blanc, passed away, June 25, 2024. A Committal Service with Military Honors will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Road, Holly. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the Fenton Lakes Sportsman's Club 1140 Butcher Rd. Fenton, MI. Memorial Contributions in Robert's memory may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society or to the USO.
Bob was born October 27, 1942, in Paterson, New Jersey to Richard and Eleanor (Maguire) Fraser. He proudly served in U.S. Air Force for 26 years as an air traffic controller, retiring as Senior Master Sergeant. His love for all things aviation led him to managing the airport in Burlington, VT and working for the FAA.
As a world traveler, his experiences and interests were vast. Dog lover and excellent trainer, scuba diver, tournament fisherman, photographer, race car driver, hockey player, builder, motorcyclist, beekeeper, small aircraft pilot, and all-around sportsman. Bob lived life with enthusiasm, and it showed in everything he took on. When presented with an Air Force Commendation Medal, he was recognized for "seeking the most applicable solution to any problem", and that was one of the many qualities he was known for. His family and friends knew they could always count on him!
Although Bob had a myriad of talents, his biggest and most accomplished role in this life was that of an incredible, tender hearted and loving father. He cared about what was important to his children and did what he could to help them achieve their goals. He was a great teacher, provider, supporter, and creator of memories that they will always cherish.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Warren Fraser.
He is survived by his children, Michelle (Norm) McGee, Robert J. (Sheri Trout) Fraser, his sisters Barbara Fraser and Valerie Fraser as well as extended family members and countless friends.
As we bid farewell to Bob, may we carry forward his legacy of creativity, living life to the fullest, and unconditional love. He will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.
