ARNOLD, Sally D. – of Montrose, age 77, died Friday, April 26, 2019 at University of Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 5PM, Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Bob Leming officiating. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 1PM until the time of service at 5PM. A Fraternal Order of Eagles memorial service will be held 4PM, Saturday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Sally was born February 16, 1942 in Montrose, Michigan to the late Clare and Erma (Reed) VanCamp. She graduated from Montrose High School in 1960. Sally married Richard Arnold on July 11, 1964. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2002. Sally briefly worked as a Dietary Assistant for Flint Osteopathic Hospital. She spent most of her life as a loving wife and mother. Sally always participated in charity organization and stayed busy volunteering her time around Montrose. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Montrose and previous member of the Montrose Township Fireman’s Auxiliary. Sally enjoyed shooting shuffleboard and volunteering for charity events. Most of all, she loved her cats and cheering for the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Pistons.
Surviving are: Son, Robert Arnold and numerous friends and dear family members. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Tyrrell. Please sign our guestbook or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com
