MARTIN, Thelma Mary "The Old" Age 97, of Fenton passed away December 15, 2017. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Thelma was born August 25,1920 in Flint, Michigan to Joseph and Anna Mrasek. She graduated from Northern High School in 1938. She married Bruce R. Martin on February 18, 1944. Mrs. Martin worked as a bookkeeper for Weinstein Electric Co. for 28 years, retiring in 1986. She later returned to work at Hudson’s (Macy’s) for 9 years, retiring in October of 2003. For several years she was a member of the American Business Women’s Association Flint Chapter. She was a very talented needlepoint and embroidery artist, golfer, and loved following the stock market. She was a life long antique collector and later in life was found at Aunt Barb’s Antique shop in Holly every Saturday. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and spending time with them. She will be deeply missed and remembered for her dry sense of humor, story telling, Thelmaisms, courage, high heels, and independence. She is survived by her daughter, Rochelle Martin-Molyneaux, son-in-law Rex Alexander, grandchildren Tyler, Caitlin and Jillian Molyneaux, and grand-dogs P.J. and Chloe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce, daughter, Celeste and son-in-law John Molyneaux.
