MATHERS, Pearl Lucille - Age 57, of Flint, died Tuesday July 10, 2018. Funeral services will be held 3:00PM Friday, July 13, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Burial at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Boyne City, Michigan. Pastor Keith McKinnes officiating. Visitation will be held 4PM - 8PM Thursday and 2PM until time of service Friday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family. Pearl was born March 17, 1961 in Tawas, the daughter of the late Victor Glen and Shirley Ann (Heckman) Rayner. She married Kelly Laverne Mathers on July 2, 1982 in Burton. Pearl loved children and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing solitaire, collecting Coca-Cola and Mickey Mouse items. Pearl retired from the Flint School District with 14 years of service. Surviving are: husband of 36 years, Kelly Mathers of Flint; daughter, Jennifer (Tim) Smock of Burton; grandchildren, Jackson and Stacey; brothers, George (Sharon) Kelley of Flint, Gary (Kim) Kelley of Lapeer; sisters, Shirley (Bill) Forstner of FL, Cheryl Rayner of Flint; brother-in-law, Paul Jackson of Mt. Morris; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Jessica Mathers,Stacey Rayner; sister Vickie Jackson; brother, Victor Rayner.
