FEURT, Joyce M. - Of Flint, age 95, died peacefully Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Sugarbush Living-Beecher Circle House in Flint surrounded by family.
A private celebration of Joyce’s life will be held for immediate family.
Those desiring to make a contribution in Joyce’s memory may do so to Humane Society of Genesee County or Alzheimer’s Association-Genesee County Chapter.
Joyce was born in International Falls, Minnesota on February 18, 1923, the daughter of the William E. and Cora E. (Crabtree) Clark. She worked as an airline hostess for TWA from 1945-1949 during the pioneering days of commercial aviation. Joyce married Cort Feurt, Jr. in 1949 and they eventually settled in Flint. As a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and needlepoint. As a wife, mother and grandmother, she will be remembered for her dedication to and love of her family.
Surviving are son, Jeffrey C. (Pamela) Feurt of Flint, MI;
daughters, Suzanne L. Feurt (Gary D. Bass) of Arlington, VA; and Janet F. MacPhail (Brian) of Chicago, IL;
4 grandchildren, Jennifer Feurt, Jackie Feurt of Clarkston, MI, James MacPhail and Alexander MacPhail of Chicago, IL;
She was preceded in death by her husband Cort, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
