BESSOLO, Catherine – of Davison, age 82, passed away September 27, 2015 at her residence. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 2 PM Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 10 AM-2 PM Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Catherine was born in Detroit, MI on November 19, 1932, daughter of the late Steve and Theresa (Marelich) Tonkovich. She married Elmer B. Bessolo on May 4, 1957 in Detroit, MI and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2010. Catherine was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was an avid fan of crossword puzzles and scary movies. Family and friends meant everything to her and she opened her home to everyone. Catherine absolutely loved spending time with her granddaughters.
Catherine is survived by her children, Diane (Roy) Bernier, Mark (Lesa Tsolis) Bessolo; grandchildren, Angelique (Kenny) Lawrence, Christiane Bernier; dog, Oreo; many other close family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Peter; brothers, Steve (Vera) Tonkovich, Jr. and John Tonkovich.
