KOSNIK, Rodney P. – of Clio, age 60, died Thursday, November 13, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, November 17, 2014 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow in West Vienna Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 5-8PM and Sunday from 11AM – 2PM and 4-8PM. Contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project. Rod was born July 3, 1954 in Midland to the late Edward and Barbara (Keller) Kosnik. He was a resident of Midland most of his life moving to Clio 4 years ago. He married Jeaninne Bellanger on February 1, 2014 in Clio. Mr. Kosnik was a Journeyman Pipefitter and Welder and retired from Flint Truck and Bus in 2014 with over 29 years seniority. He was a member of the UAW Local #598 and the Local #85. He enjoyed hunting, golfing,outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and family. Surviving are: wife, Jeaninne; son, Christopher Kosnik (companion Emily) of Baltimore, MD; 2 step sons, Zackary Bellanger (companion Isabella) of Clio, Shane Gifford of Clio; grandson, Paxton; siblings, Rita (Doug) Slates of Midland, Steve (Holly) Kosnck of FL, Lorraine (Barry) Bacon of Beaverton, Bruce (Carrie) Kosnik of Sanford, Marcia Kosnik of Hope, Kevin Kosnik of Sanford; step sister, Judy (Stan) Siefker of Lansing; mother in law, Doreen Scott; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: infant brother, Carey; 2 step sisters, Connie and Becky; his step father, Ray Slates; and father in law, Dick Scott.
