MOORE, Richard A. “Rick” – of Montrose, age 61, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Bible Baptist Church - 6205 Birch Run Rd., in Birch Run. Pastor Fred C. Smith officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Friday from 1PM until 8PM and at the church on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Rick was born July 12, 1958 in Flint, Michigan to Harold and Rojetta (Flewelling) Gwaltney. He married Beatrice “Bea” LeMaire on June 20, 1981 at Great Lakes Baptist Temple in Grand Blanc. Mr. Moore retired from General Motors - AC in Lake Orion in 2008 with 30 years of service. Rick was a member of Great Lakes Baptist Temple in Grand Blanc and Bible Baptist Church in Birch Run; he had a strong love for his Lord and shared the love with everyone he knew. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and carpentry. Rick was a loving devoted husband and wonderful provider for his wife and children. Above all, He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are: Wife, Bea Moore; Daughter, Tonya (Joe) Dubay; Son, Matthew (Sarah) Moore; Grandchildren: Stella, Colten, Ellie, Ruger, and Addison; Parents, Harold and Rojetta Ann (Flewelling) Gwaltney; Siblings: Susan (Tom) Kennedy, Teresa (Dave) Gould, Mitchell Gwaltney, Darrell Gwaltney, Wanda (Bob) Korff, Dana (Dave) Weber, Mandy Gwaltney; Special friends, Jean and Wayne Martines; Nieces, nephews, many other loving family members and dear friends.
