Joanne Joyce Palek, age 79, of Flint, formerly of Columbiaville passed away January 6, 2018 at Genesys Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Joanne was born February 24, 1938 in Fostoria, Michigan to Arnold and Doris Allen.
She later married William Palek. Joanne was an active member in PACE at Genesys Hospital, and Citizens Probation of Lapeer for 30 years. She enjoyed bowling, knitting & crocheting - she often donated many pairs of mittens and hats to area schools, above all she loved spending time with her family and friends at PACE.
Joanne is survived by her sons: Jospeh Palek, John Palek, siblings: Marlea Russett, Raymond Allen, Richard Allen, grandchildren: Charlotte, (Doug) Helman, William Palek, close friends: Chris & Katie Moore, Greg & Karen Eason, Russ & Michelle Width and families. She was preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Doris, husband William, and sister Charlotte.
Funeral service 12:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, where friends may visit Friday 10:00 AM till time of service. Interment Wood Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Joanne may be made to Citizens Probation or PACE at Genesys Hospital.
