JoAnne J. Smith, age 82, of Flushing, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019, in her home with her family by her side. In accordance with JoAnne's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private burial will take place at a later date at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
JoAnne was born in Flint, Michigan, on March 13, 1936, the daughter of the Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Mercedes (Guibord) Glover. JoAnne worked and attended the University of Michigan, completing her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Phoenix. She worked for Public Service Company of Colorado - Transmission Line Department for many years, retiring in 1998. JoAnne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends - especially her grandchildren, flower gardening, arts & crafts.
Left to cherish her memory are, son, Kevin Smith, and daughter, Jennifer Smith; four grandchildren: Kendall, Hunter, Kylie, and Jaydan; two sisters: Barbara and Connie; two brothers: Frank and Mike; and many other family members.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Mercedes; son, David; and twin sister, Jean.
