Vic was born on June 25, 1942, in Flint, the son of the late Steve and Pauline (Agnew) Urick. He was a 1960 graduate of Flint Northern High School; and he received an Associate’s Degree from Baker College. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, from 1962 until his honorable discharge in 1966. Victor and Pamela Chirich were united in marriage on November 11, 1967, in Flint. Vic moved his family to Swartz Creek from Flint in 1974, and he resided in Grand Blanc since 2001.

He began working at Citizens Bank in 1967, and during his banking career worked as a vice president in various departments, including Loan Adjustment, Installment Loans, Credit and Corporate Loan Review. After Victor left Citizens Bank, he joined the Al Serra team as a manager in special financing and was proud of his work there. After he retired, he came back to Al Serra and drove cars part time, a job he enjoyed immensely.

Victor was a lifelong sports fan. He had a passion for the University of Michigan-especially for football-where, as a season ticket holder, held a streak of consecutive home game attendance that lasted for over 40 years. He also was an avid golfer, a member of the Flint Elks Club, and had two holes-in-one in his lifetime. In addition, he loved bowling and shooting pool. He enjoyed annual trips to Florida, Las Vegas, and to the casinos in Michigan with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Pamela; son, Steve Urick; daughter, Jennifer (Dan) Digmann; brother, Kirk (Deborah) Urick; sister, Karen Dekelaita; sister-in-law, Peggy Urick; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Urick; father, Steve Urick; stepmother, Jane Urick; brother, Roger Urick; and brother-in-law, Tony Dekelaita.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Gentiva Hospice for the excellent care given to Vic. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
