LUTZ, Kim Noreen – of Clio, age 59, died Sunday, September 23, 2018 at her home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Clio Community Church of God. Pastor Rhyan Glezman and Pastor Jim Horn officiating. Burial in Thetford Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 1-8 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio and Thursday from 10AM until time of service at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Clio Community Church of God, American Cancer Society, or the American Red Cross.
Kim was born April 11, 1959 in Durand, Michigan to Thomas and Sally (VanWoert) Tullar. She grew up in Durand and graduated from Durand High School with the class of 1977. On May 27, 1994 she married Kenton Lutz at Westwood Church of God in Flint, Michigan. Prior to her retirement in 2017, Kim held a Doctorate of Education Degree from Wayne State University and held various positions, including teaching at Baker College for 30 years. She was a member of Clio Community Church of God where she was involved in several church activities. Kim was an avid runner, loved music, camping, and going to church camp in Charlevoix, Michigan. However, her greatest joy in life was her family and grandchildren. The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to family, friends, U of M Hospital, Heart to Heart Hospice, and Angels Touch for the cards, love, the support and continued encouragement during this difficult time.
Surviving are: Husband of 24 years Kenton; Children, Kenton Thomas Lutz, Michelle Irene (Kenny) Hofstetter, Holly Noreen (Josh) Hofstetter; Grandchildren, Jordan, Jesse, Naythan, Alivia, Weslee; Mother, Sally (Ken) Dove; Father and Mother in law, Richard (Jean) Lutz; Siblings, Thomas (Sharon) Tullar, Kelly (Eric) Bastian; Sister in law, Jerolyn (Daryl) Youmans; Nephews, Thomas Tullar, Bradley Tullar, Cameron Tullar, Tyler Youmans, Zachary Youmans.
