SMITH, Lila Mae – Of Fenton, formerly of Flushing and Flint, age 94, died Monday, April 1, 2019 at McLaren-Flint surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 Leroy Street, Fenton,
Pastor Michelle Forsyth officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Unity Christian Church or Carriage Town Ministries.
Visitation 10am Saturday at church until the time of the service.
Burial of cremains in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
Lila Mae Smith was born in Flint, Michigan on May 28, 1924 the daughter of Orren and Eunice (Mason) Arnold. On December 1, 1945, she married Herbert W. Smith in Flint, Michigan and he preceded her in death. In June, 1944 she married Lt. Harold C. Smith who was killed in the War in November, 1944. She was a member of Unity Christian Church.
Surviving are children, Leslie C. (Gary) Madden, Bruce W. Smith, Gregory D. (Karen Sugar-Smith) Smith, and Timothy H. (Cindy Jo) Smith;
grandchildren, Michelle L. (Mark) Busch, Amy C. Moody, Christopher W. (Heidi) Smith, Suzanne L. (Teddy) McCartney, and Zachary J. Smith;
11 great-grandchildren;
special sister, Joyce Langdon; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Herbert W. Smith and Harold C. Smith, grandsons, W. Douglas Boyer and Jeffrey M. Madden and daughter-in-law, Catherine L. Smith.
