JONES, Phyllis Daphne (Johnson) – of Lapeer, MI, age 93, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Roderick C. Jones and Pastor Shawn Kook co-officiating. Private interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-8 PM Tuesday, March 13, 2018 and 10-11 AM Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home.
Phyllis was born in El Paso, Texas on March 31, 1924, daughter of the late Fred and Julia (Ardouin) Johnson. She married James T. Jones on April 9, 1944. Phyllis was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She had a very active Christian Tape and Track Ministry and was a great Prayer Warrior. Phyllis was also an excellent cook.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, James T. Jones; 4 children, Russell T. (Paula) Jones, Roderick C. (Patricia) Jones, Shelley K. Nikoloff and Gregory S. (Debbie) Jones; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by grandson, Paul Nikoloff; son-in-law, John Nikoloff; 2 sisters and 1 brother.
