SOCIA, Bonnie J. – of Millington, age 79, walked hand in hand into heaven with her mother, Mary Zuhlke on January 9, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday, January 17, 2020 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Arbela Township. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 12PM until 8PM and on Friday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
Bonnie was born August 14, 1940 in Flint, Michigan to the late Frank and Mary (Loomis) Zuhlke. She married Thomas B. Socia on September 16, 1961. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2015. She was a member of the Glee Club in high school. Bonnie enjoyed bowling, camping, cruises and trips to the casino. She taught Sunday School for several years. Bonnie worked at Dykhouse Pickle Factory in Vassar. She also was a waitress at Big Boy in Mt. Morris and at Dixie View Drive Inn in Clio. Bonnie loved spending time with her siblings. She was soft spoken, kindhearted and would help others anyway she could.
Surviving are: Daughters: Kim (John) Van Deusen, and Carrie (Bruce) Best; Son, Tom (Kathy) Socia; Grandchildren: Jill, Randy, John (Mariah), Dallas, Bonnie, Jacob, and Lindsay (Austin); Great grandchildren: Vanessa, and Makayla; Siblings: Gloria Bryant, Ginger Kingsbury, Donna Craven, and Frank Zuhlke Jr.; Brother in law, Joe Socia; Sister in law, Beverly Socia; Many other loving family members and dear friends.
