ETHINGTON, Evelyn Marie - Of Burton, age 77, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11:30am Saturday, December 7, 2013
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Chaplain Don Bennett officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Research.
Visitation 3-8pm Thursday and 11am-3pm and 5-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
Evelyn was born in Flint on October 17, 1936. On October 8, 1955, she married Kenneth Ethington in Flint. Evelyn did volunteer work for the Mott family. She enjoyed golfing, shopping, volleyball and bowling.
Surviving are husband, Kenneth;
children, Cindy Carlson, Dawn and husband Johnny Cheek and Linda and husband Al Davis;
grandchildren, Zachary, Lauren, Lana, Angel, Jesse, and Tanya;
sisters, Jo Ann and husband Jim Delisle and Carol and husband Fred Giles;
and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marilyn Olds.
