LOONEY, Marjorie L. (Hemingway) – of Davison, MI, formerly of Flushing, MI, age 88, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held 12 PM Friday, May 11, 2018 at Flushing United Methodist Church, 413 East Main Street, Flushing, MI 48433; Pastor Debbie Line Yencer officiating. Interment will be on a later date in Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 5-8 PM Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 11 AM-12 PM Friday, May 11, 2018 at Flushing United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flushing United Methodist Church or a charity of one’s choice, in Marjorie’s memory.
Marjorie was born in Flint, MI on May 30, 1929, daughter of the late Ross and Grace (Sherwood) Hemingway. She married Norman Looney on November 25, 1950. Marjorie enjoyed serving others, especially through cooking, sewing and her church outreach.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Norman; 5 children, Carolyn (David) Mansfield, David (Joyce) Looney, William (Judy) Looney, Wayne (Becky) Looney and Laura (Peter) Boyd; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Gordon (Barbara) Hemingway; sister-in-law, Wilda Looney; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her identical twin sister, Margaret (F. Stanley) Terrill; parents-in-law, Gene and Faye Looney; brother-in-law, Glen Looney and special nephew, Roger Terrill.
