NAGENGAST, Richard Don – of Burton, MI, age 85, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017. A Funeral Service, with Military Honors, will be held 11 AM Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church, 7306 E. Atherton Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Larry Nagengast officiating. Private interment Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors 1-4 PM & 5-8 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist School Ed-U-Share, in Richard’s memory.
Dick was born in Flint, MI on December 23, 1931, son of the late Fred and Mary (Goodlander) Nagengast. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1954. Dick married Georgia Rose on October 27, 1951 in Flint, MI. He was employed with AC Sparkplug, retiring after 35 years of service. Dick was a member of Faith Baptist Church and spent much of his retirement serving the church. His family and his church were his world.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Georgia (Rose); 5 children, David (Barb), Drs. Linda (Jeff) Norrell, Dr. Larry (Jackie) Nagengast, Beverly (Phil) Wally and Janice (Bob) James; daughter-in-law, Linda Nagengast; 14 grandchildren, Erik, Andrew, Peter, Blake, Diana, Andrea, Lawrence Jr., Erika, Anna, Abby, Noel, Meredith, Matt and Mark; 7 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends.
