BIGELOW, Elizabeth A. “Beth” – of Clio, age 95, died on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Ascension Genesys Hospital of Grand Blanc. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Dan Shinabarger officiating. Burial in Thetford Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 1PM until 8PM, and Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Covenant Church in Clio.
Beth was born May 31, 1924 in Flint, Michigan to the late Clarence and Linnie (Brabazon) Peterson. She graduated from Clio High School in 1942. Beth married Ralph Bigelow on May 5, 1946. He preceded her in death January of 1999. Beth worked at AC during WWII manufacturing machine guns. She retired from McLaren Hospital in 1985 after 23 years. Beth was a member of New Covenant Church in Clio and enjoyed volunteering in the children’s area. She also enjoyed traveling, camping, sewing, water aerobics, and eating ice cream. Beth loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are: Children: Mark (Gail Anderson) Bigelow, Sheryl (Wayne) McClain, Carol (Ron) Ramin, and Dennis (Sandy) Bigelow; Grandchildren: Mitchell (Sarah) Shepard, Trina (Jeff) Gamet, Shelly Ide (fiancé Joe Mallard Jr.), Melissa (Mark) Ross, Jason (Jill) Bigelow, and Brooke Bigelow (fiancé Dakota Gehrke); Several great grandchildren; Sister, Barbara (Sid) Wood; Brother in law, Art Bigelow; Special neighbor, Brian; Several nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends.
