MILLER, Ms. Angela Denise-age 50 passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 in Columbia, SC. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 with 10:30 a.m. family hour at First Union Missionary Baptist Church 7004 Fleming Rd., Flint, MI 48504. Rev. Archie Powell, Jr. officiating. The final resting place for Ms. Miller will be Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint, MI. Calling hours for Ms. Miller are 12 noon - 6:00 pm Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Serenity Funeral Chapel.
Angela Denise Miller was born March 18, 1964 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas the daughter of Joyce Lucille Miller and James Jones. Angela affectionately known as "Angie" accepted Christ at an early age. She was along standing member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church until she relocated to another state. She attended Xavier University and worked as a traveling P.T. Assistant. Angie enjoyed shopping and watching movies in her spare time. She also liked to listen to gospel music. Most of all Angie was a true fan of Tampa Bay Bucs.
Ms. Angela Miller leaves to cherish her memory: son, Sgt. Lamar Darnell Miller (USMC); mother, Joyce Lucille Miller; step-father, Walter Gatewood of a Flint, MI; sister, Yoalonda (Tony) Thlmpson of At.anta, GA; brothers, Kenneth Miller of Athens, GA, Dwight Miller of Las Vegas, NV, Larry Miller, Gregory Miller and William Miller all of Flint, MI; a host of nieces and nephews; aunt, Merle Cobb of Pine Bluff, AR; uncles, special uncle. Walter "Bubba" Miller of Fort Worth, TX, Arnett (Vivian) Miller and Frank (Hazel) Miller; several cousins; a host of other relatives and special friends, including special friends: Karen Jones of Jackson, TN and Dorothy Billion of Columbia, SC.
Ms. Angela "Angie" Miller was preceded in death by: father, James Jones; grandparents, Jeff and Willie Bernice Miller; aunt, Jonetta Franklin and uncle, Floyd Franklin.
The family would like to express special thanks to: everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time including the staff of Palmetto Baptist Church, Columbia, SC.
