Beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at his home. Age 77 years. The son of the late Albert and Grace (Potter) Dupuis, Charlie was born February 20, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1957. Charlie was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 31 years until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Surviving are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Zenos and Tammy Dupuis, Xavier and Dorothy Dupuis, Holly and Greg Meyer; 10 grandchildren, Alex, Faith, Austin, Autumn, Anthony, Bianca, Darius, Melinda, Kirsten and John; a great-granddaughter, Joelle; one brother, Del Dupuis; one sister, Rosalie Galarno; many nieces and nephews. Charlie was preceded in death by a grandson, Adam, and by five brothers Donald, Clare, James, Robert, Alfred and Richard.
Honoring Charlie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 545 Mapleridge in Carrollton. Rev. Fr. Ronald Dombrowski will officiate. Military Honors, under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #1859, will follow the Funeral Liturgy. Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where the family will be present on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family. Arrangements entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road.
