CLAPP, Frank Earl – Of Grand Blanc, age 94, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Adagio Assisted Living in Grand Blanc.
Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Memorial visitation 12 p.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Frank was born in Hockaday, Michigan on July 31, 1918, the son of Earl A. and Charlotte (Williams) Clapp and lived in Zephyrhills, Florida and Swartz Creek, Michigan.
Frank served in the United States Army during World War II.
On September 1, 1942 he married Beatrice Biddis in Flint.
He was a member of the Shriner's Clowns; was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of VFW Post #3720 in Swartz Creek.
Mr. Clapp was a maintenance worker.
Surviving are son, Charles E. and wife Jane Clapp of Clio;
daughter, Patricia J. and husband Jeff Hilliard of Grand Blanc;
7 grandchildren and
11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice; daughter, Linda Clapp; parents, Earl and Charlotte Clapp; three brothers; one sister and great-granddaughter, Crystal Reddy.
