SCHERMAN, Luella M. - Of Flint, age 93, died Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Stonegate in Lapeer.
A memorial service will be held 12 Noon Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Chaplain Goodman Cox officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 11am Saturday April 30, 2016 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Luella was born in Beaverton, Michigan on May 26, 1922, daughter of the late Harry and Elfleda (Kitchen) Force.
She was a charter member of VFW Post #3087 Auxiliary and a member of UAW Local 651. Mrs. Scherman was employed at AC Spark Plug for 30.5 years, retiring in September, 1979. Luella enjoyed arts and crafts and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.
Surviving are sons, Kenneth D. and Kim Bailey of Otter Lake and Robert A. and wife Susan of Grand Blanc;
granddaughter, Stacie Scherman;
sister, Arlene Hitchcock of Grand Blanc;
and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband John and sister Betty Hyde.
Luella will be dearly missed by all of her friends at Independence Village in Frankenmuth.
