Donna Myree Church - age 60 of Beaverton formerly of Lapeer, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, March 29, 2013. She was born on July 22, 1952, the daughter of Ralph and Ada (Gleasure) Watson in Flint Michigan. She graduated From Kearsley High School, and Baker College with an Associate’s Degree in Bookkeeping. On June 17, 1972 she married Larry Church, and together they raised two daughters. She loved to sew, receiving her first sewing instruction in 4H Sewing Club, and baking. She became an accomplished seamstress, and quilter. Receiving a quilt or something that she handcrafted was an ultimate gift of love. She was involved in Girl Scouts herself and with her daughters. She and Larry retired to Wixom Lake in Beaverton, and enjoyed life on the lake. She is survived by her two daughters; Stacey Bechtel and husband Jim of Oregon, Danielle Church and Bill Shumaker of Swartz Creek, her brother Tim Watson and wife Wendy of Swartz Creek, her mother Ada Watson of Flint, four grandchildren; Katelynn, Joshua, Graceyann, and Madisyn; nephew, Chad Watson of Swartz Creek; niece, Nicole and husband Gary McNally of Swartz Creek; great nephew, Trenton McNally; and special brother-in-law and wife, Gary and Ramona Church of Beaverton. Donna was preceded in death by her husband Larry Church on December 22, 2010 and father Ralph Watson on July 26, 1992.
