ESSINGER, Agnes S. - Of Swartz Creek, age 81, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Joyce Johnston officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Messiah Lutheran Church or the Luther Home of Mercy, Williston, Ohio.
Visitation 11am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Agnes was born in Chicago, IL on July 28, 1930. On May 23, 1953, she married Jerome Essinger in Riverside, IL. Agnes was a member and very active with Messiah Lutheran Church, Swartz Creek. Agnes was an alumnus of Capital University, Columbus, OH. Her life was dedicated to God, her family and friends.
Surviving are husband, Jerome;
children, Paul and wife Jil-Anne Essinger of AuTrain, MI, Laura and husband Stephen Hockin of Swartz Creek, Jane and husband Duane Bradford of Kent, OH, and Ruth and husband Ron Meyer of Savoy, IL;
grandchildren, Josh, Sarah, Jenny, Rachel, Sean, Matt, Abby, Libby, Zach, Luke and Jake
brother, Lawrence and wife Mary Ellen Schaad of CO;
nieces and nephews.
many other relatives and a host of special friends.
