GOLDEN,Carol - of Flint, age 80, died Monday, July 1, 2013 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Lincoln Park United Methodist Church, 3410 Fenton Road in Flint,Reverend Maurice R. Horne and Reverend Karen Williams officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lincoln Park United Methodist Church or National Carousel Association. Visitation 12-8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mrs. Golden will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Carol married William E. Golden on June 12, 1954 at Lincoln Park United Methodist Church in Flint and he preceded her in death. She was a member of Lincoln Park United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, National Carousel Association and the Red Hats. Surviving are her children, Janelle and husband Devon Bolt of Dundee, Oregon, Kathy and husband Richard Paulson of Bancroft, Michigan Scott E. and wife Kristine Golden of Fitchburg, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brandon and wife Amanda and Andrew Bolt, Michael, Joseph and wife Liana, Jessica and Kaitlyn Golden, Amanda Paulson; 3 great-grandchildren, Matthew and Jacoby Tau-Golden, Aiden Golden; special friends, Bill and Bev Hilden, Stacey and husband John Woodman and their son, Alec; 2 brothers, Herald and wife Barb Sweet of Byron Center, Earl and wife Sandy Sweet of Ann Arbor; many nieces and nephews.
