PEEL, Harriet F. – of Burton, age 85, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Pete Scribner officiating. Interment will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors from 3-7 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2024, and one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Presbyterian Church, 6100 Richfield Road, Flint, MI 48506, in Harriet’s memory.
Harriet was born in Flint on October 5, 1938, daughter of the late Glen and Christine (Porter) Severn. She married Raymond Peel on August 6, 1956. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2001. Harriet was a long-standing member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church. She loved to travel, especially with family.
Harriet is survived by her beloved children, Rita Schubert, Terry (Wendy) Peel, Allan (Jean) Peel; grandchildren, Jessica, Edward (Angela), Matthew, Barbara (Jeremy), Douglas, Terry, Jennifer, Buddy, Joseph (Ashley), Crystal (Floyd); several great-grandchildren; brother, Walt (Nancy) Severn; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Harriet was preceded in death by a daughter, Harriet Gann; son, Raymond Peel, Jr.; two brothers, Harry Severn and Steve Severn; sister, Theresa Severn.
