FRASE, Harold Henry – of Genesee, MI, formerly of Oscoda, MI, age 89, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ennis Center for Children, in Harold’s memory.
Harold was born in Flint, MI on December 26, 1934, son of the late Ulmont “Art” and Anna (Moen) Frase. On July 16, 1955, Harold married the love of his life, Kathleen Ann Ridgeway. Their love story was one of deep devotion until Kathleen's passing on July 19, 2011. Together, they shared many cherished memories that Harold carried with him throughout his life. A proud graduate of Flint Tech High School, Harold was a man of many talents and passions. He spent over 30 years working at AC Spark Plug, where he retired after a long and fulfilling career. His work ethic, commitment, and dedication made a lasting impact on those who knew him. Harold enjoyed bowling, competitive shooting, and golfing, finding joy in these hobbies while forming lifelong friendships along the way. He was also a proud member of the Iosco County Sportsmen’s Club and the Oscoda Yacht Club, where he was known for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering support of his community. Harold will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, friendship, and laughter will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
Harold is survived by 4 children, Gale (Russell) Overstreet, Mark (Jill) Frase, William (Gill Jones) Frase and Margaret (Jack) Parr; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Patricia Frase; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulmont “Art” Frase and Anna Halvorsen; wife, Kathleen Ann Frase; 2 brothers, Donald (Clara) Frase and Stanley Frase.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at Charter Senior Living, whose care and compassion brought comfort to Harold during his final years. They also extend special thanks to Amanda and Britney of Swan Hospice for their exceptional support and kindness in Harold’s final days.
