MORSE, Lois J. – of Montrose age 78, died peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Bob Leming officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1-9PM and on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service at 1PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
Lois was born on September 1, 1936 in Montrose to the late Lloyd Sr. and Nona (Bailey) Taylor. She married George E. Morse on December 18, 1954 in New Lothrop. They enjoyed 60 wonderful years together. Lois attended the Montrose Family Worship Center and was a former member of the Rebekah’s. She loved playing BINGO and enjoyed polka dancing and her bowling leagues. Above all, Lois enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are: husband, George Morse of Montrose; children, David (Lynn) Morse of Montrose, Janice (William) Brown of Montrose, Brenda (Tim) Polzin of Montrose, Andrea (Robert) Beckman of Montrose; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd “Bud” (Beth) Taylor of Montrose and Charles (Becky) Taylor of Mt. Morris; special niece, Stacy Evans; many other loving family members and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her brothers, Merton and Robert Taylor; sister, Beverly LaPointe; great granddaughter, Patience Richter; step father, Charles McGuire; son in law, Keith Richter Sr.; brothers in law, Manuel LaPointe, Louis Toth Sr., Andrew, Robert Charles and Paul Morse; sister in law, Betty Toth; father in law, Andrew Sr. Morse; mother in law, Helen Morse.
