STREETER, William R. “Bill” - Of Flint, age 82, died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Father Steve Anderson officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Max Bauer Heart Fund or Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Eagles will conduct a Memorial Service 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Bill was born in Flint on September 4, 1929, the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Prine) Streeter. Bill graduated from Bendle High School, Class of 1947. He was employed with Genesee Welding Supply Company(AGA) for 42 years as a truck driver and salesman. Bill bowled in many bowling leagues for many years, bowling in the 2-700 Series. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #629 for 65 years and was the Trustee for 20 years. Bill was also a member of the Grand Blanc Moose and Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Surviving are wife of 60 years Mary Katherine (Runyan);
daughter, Sharon A. Palovich;
grandsons, Andrew (Dena) Palovich and Jeffery (Lynn Noe) Palovich;
great-granddaughter, Gillian Tilch;
brothers, Larry (Bev) Streeter of Flint and Richard Streeter of Lansing;
step-sister, Barbara Chandler of Arkansas;
many nieces and nephews.
