James “Jim” Lee Chambers, 73, of Brown City passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at McLaren Hospital of Flint.
James was born on March 21, 1951 in Sandusky, Michigan to the late Harold and Helen (Krueger) Chambers. He graduated from Sandusky High School in 1969. He served in the Army from June 17, 1969 until January 25, 1972 serving in the Vietnam War and Germany. On June 15, 1973, he married Susan Abeska in Sandusky, Michigan. He retired from General Motors.
He liked to pheasant hunt, going to garage sales and antiquing, always looking for the great deal, planting his garden, traveling up north and boating. When he was younger he liked cross country skiing.
Jim is survived by his wife, Susan Chambers; daughter, Danielle Chambers; siblings, Joyce (Elwin) Richardson, Donna (Galen) Faith, Gary (Cindy) Chambers and Dale (Phyllis) Chambers; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Don Chambers.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 4 PM until 9 PM and Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 10 AM to 11 AM at Marsh Funeral Chapel, 396 S. Sandusky Road, Sandusky, MI 48471.
Services for James will be Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 11 O’ Clock AM at Marsh Funeral Chapel, 396 S. Sandusky Road, Sandusky, MI 48471.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Sandusky, MI 48471
Memorials may be made to St. Judes Research Hospital or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
