YOUNG, Iris “Muriel”, age 87, of Grand Blanc, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich. Private family services have been held.
Muriel was born September 30, 1925 in Flint the daughter of Robert John and Bessie (Rowe) Young. She graduated from Flint Central High School and later Michigan State University where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology. During her employment she was active in several professional organizations including, Flint Society of Medical Technologists, ASMT and MSMT. Muriel was employed by McLaren Hospital as Chief Technologist until her retirement.
Surviving are her two brothers, Dallas Young (Nan) of Arkansas, Frank Young (Joyce) of Grand Blanc; two nephews, Robert John Young of Fenton, Gregory Dallas Young (Annmarie) of Fenton; three nieces, Cathy King (Andy), Karen Smith (Bob), Debbie Macock (Dwight) and several great-nieces and nephews.
