RICHARDSON-FITZPATRICK, Marian F. (Richardson) – Of Swartz Creek, age 86, died Friday, October 21, 2011 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at West Court Street Church of God, 2920 West Court Street, Flint, Reverend Brian Hansen officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to West Court Street Church of God for the choir or as directed by the church. Visitation 2-7 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Marian will be at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service. Marian was born in Flint, Michigan on June 4, 1925, the eldest daughter of the late Frederick and Emolyn Hemingway, and was a resident of the Flint area and Swartz Creek all of her life. She married Shirl G. Richardson on July 30, 1955 and became the mother of his four sons. He preceded her in death in 1985. She then married William Fitzpatrick on July 16, 2000 in Flint. Marian was a member of West Court Street Church of God, where she was involved in the Stephen Ministry and choir, where she served as secretary. She was very active in ballroom dancing and competed in many events, winning several ribbons.
Marian was an Avon district sales manager for 26 years, retiring in 1989.
Surviving are husband, William Fitzpatrick; four sons, Thomas and wife Denise Richardson of Flushing, John and wife Pam Richardson of Flushing,
David and wife Susan Richardson of Walled Lake and Ronald and wife Carolyn Richardson of Grand Blanc; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren;
brother, Larry and wife Gloria Hemingway of Flint; sister, Beverly and husband Walter Luginbuhl of Burton; many nieces, nephews, wonderful extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by sister, Jean Elizabeth Hemingway; brother, Richard Hemingway and sister-in-law, Delores Hemingway.
