Zuwala, Lois E. age 84 of Flint died May 20, 2014 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will be held 3:30 pm Friday, May 23, 2014 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint. Family will receive visitors from 12-8 pm Thursday, May 22 at the funeral home and from 2:30 pm until time of service Friday. Burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Lois was born May 5, 1930 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Floyd and Ula (Wesley) Finkbeiner. She was joined in marriage to Wallace (Gene) Zuwala on Sept. 19, 1953 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 2002. Lois was an I.M.C. Clerk at Potter Elementary School in Flint, retiring in 1995 after 19 years of service. She is survived by her children Michael, Christopher Catherine all of Flint and Eric (Nikki) of Ionia; two grandchildren Joshua of CA and Sara, her favorite granddaughter whom she dearly loved; sisters Loretta Dubois of Grand Blanc, Sueann (Jim) Jacobi of New Lothrop, brothers Thomas (Barbara) Finkbeiner and Bill (Theresa) Finkbeiner of Birch Run. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Phyllis Fortune and brother Jack Finkbeiner. |
