FOUS, Robert J. - Of Flint, age 96, died Friday, January 13, 2017 at The Oaks at Woodfield, Grand Blanc.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton.

Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at church until the time of the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Flint Old Newsboys or Catholic Charites of Genesee County.
Robert was born in Flint on August 14, 1920. He was a graduate of Central High School in Flint. Mr. Fous was a World War II Veteran, and served in the Medical Corp during the invasion at Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge, receiving the Bronze Star. On August 10, 1943, he married Eileen McKeon in Ashville, North Carolina. Robert was employed by General Motors at the Coldwater Plant for 40 years. He enjoyed retirement by wintering in Florida. Robert enjoyed living life. Mr. Fous was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church since 1947.
Left to cherish his memories are wife, Eileen;
daughter, Susan Fous of Batavia, IL;
son, Tom (Kimberly) Fous of Pawleys Island, South Carolina;
granddaughter, Ansley Katherine (Jordan) Smith;
numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
