McMASTER, Pastor Jack C. - Age 73, of Linden, died Sunday, May 8, 2016. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church of Linden, 4518 Silver Lake Road, Linden. Pastor Daniel Patz officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden, Pastor Rick Henry officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Thursday from 5-8 PM, Friday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM, and 10 AM Saturday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Faith Baptist Church Missionary Program.
Jack was born April 15, 1943 in Flint the son of Cecil and Mary (Grace) McMaster. He married Charlotte Ann Schaller August 17, 1963 in Flint. He had resided in Linden since 1979 coming from Otisville. Jack graduated from Genesee High School in 1961 and then completed an Electrician Apprenticeship through AC Spark Plug and the old Flint Junior College. Then in 1971 he graduated from the Bible Baptist Seminary in Arlington, Texas and have been pastoring until the present day. He first served as youth pastor in Fort Worth, TX and then pastored churches in Port Sanilac, Otisville, and Linden. He was the Founding and Senior Pastor of Faith Baptist Church from May of 1981 through September of 2009. His wife Charlotte has served, supported and encouraged him in all the years they have ministered together. He loved family time and sharing the timeless truths of God's word with others in order that they might know Him, walk with Him, and enjoy Him forever.
Surviving are: his wife of 52 years, Charlotte; 4 children, Missionary Kel and wife Debbie of Brazil, Dr. Jeff and wife Nora of Texas, Pastor Ken and wife Lynnette of South Carolina, and Jackie and husband Darryl Koll of Ionia; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry and wife Colleen of Ada, Jim of Florida, and Richard and wife Barb of Lapeer; sisters, Betty and husband Glen Peelman of Florida, Delaine Johnson of Davison, Evelyn and husband Jerry Cox of Davison, and Sharon Fisher of Florida; several nieces and nephews.
