TAYLOR, Robert T. – Of Burton, age 57, died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Taylor was born in Lapeer, Michigan on September 6, 1954,
the son of Robert Taylor and Leona (Molle) Southern.
On March 6, 1976 he married Teresa Roney in Flint.
Mr. Taylor was employed by GM Flint Metal Fabricating Plant for 37 years and was a member of UAW Local #659.
Surviving are wife, Teresa;
one son, Robert T., II;
one daughter, Lisa (Nicholas) Piegdon;
two grandchildren, Kennedy Taylor and Robert T. Taylor III;
mother, Leona Southern;
grandmother, Lavonne R. Molle;
brothers and sisters, Randy (Dusti) Baria, Rebecca (Kevin) DeLay, Paul Taylor, Richard Taylor, Gene Taylor, Harold Southern Jr., Cynthia Nettell and Michelle (Jeffery) Zielesch;
many nieces, nephews and good friends, Randy and Linda Hartman and their son, Randy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Taylor.
