WILDFONG, Donald F. – of Davison, age 79, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 at McLaren Flint. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Burial, with Military Honors will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday and Wednesday, from 10 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street Suite 304, Chicago, IL 60611.
Donald was born in Flushing, MI on December 11, 1933, son of the late Fredrick and Erma (Hendrix) Wildfong. He married Shirley A. Williams on April 14, 1956. Donald graduated from Dye High School in 1951. He was active in the Inventors Council, where he served as a secretary. Donald was also a member of the Gear Grinders in his younger days. He enjoyed cars and attending car shows. Donald worked at Delphi/AC Spark Plug as a Senior Product Engineer.
Donald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley; son, Michael (Cheryl); grandchildren, Natalie (Jared) Wildfong-Williams, Katie (Jeremy) Francis, Amy (Scott) Connolly, Gwyn (Brad) Abbott, Nicole Petrella; great-grandchildren, Jared, Jacob, Jackson, Emma, Thomas, Piper; cousin, Nancy Loftin.
