THOMAS, Nancy “Chris” Christine (Parks) – of Davison, MI, age 77, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Ann Norton officiating. Private interment in Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake, MI. The family will receive visitors 1-8 PM Tuesday, July 2, 2019 and 10-11 AM Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held under the auspices of the Nourmahal Chapter #282 Order of Eastern Star at 7 PM Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Leader Dogs for the Blind.
Chris was born in Flint, MI on May 24, 1942, daughter of the late Leland and Virginia (Sublette) Parks. She married Dale Thomas on November 10, 1981. Chris was a life member and Past Worthy Matron of Nourmahal Chapter #282 OES, Past President of Genesee County Association OES and she attended St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Otter Lake, MI. She loved to sew and was an avid doll collector belonging to two doll clubs. Above all, Chris enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Chris is survived by her loving husband, Dale; daughter, Patricia Thomason; granddaughter, Sarah (Eric) Weigandt; 2 great-grandchildren, Aydan and Audrey Weigandt; brother, Don (Irma) Parks; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, John Gustafson in 1982; 2 sisters, Janice Gilson and Marcia Fortner.
