SHORT, George “Greg” – of Clio, age 50, died Thursday, March 1, 2012. Funeral Mass will be 11 AM Monday, March 5, 2012 at Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Ioane Sigarara officiating. Burial will be at Vienna Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Sunday from 1-9PM where a Vigil service will be held at 7PM. He will lie instate at the church on Monday from 10AM until time of Mass at 11AM Monday.
Greg was born July 24, 1961 in Flint to George and Carol (Klieber) Short and lived in Clio his entire life. He was a 1980 graduate of Clio High School. He married Cynthia Hlavacs on May 10, 1986. Mr. Short owned and operated Clio Towing for many years. He had been a roofer the past 6 years. Greg was member of Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church. He enjoyed antiquing and old cars.
Surviving are: wife, Cindy; son, Joel; parents, George and Carol Short ; 2 brothers, Tony and Scott Short all of Clio; mother and father in law, John and Virginia Hlavacs; sister in law, Colleen (Martin) Ochs; brother in law, Keith Hlavacs, all of Millington; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
